On a Heating Mission

This week we’d like you to go on a hunt round your home…..can you find the box that controls your central heating?? It might look something like on of these........

When you’ve found it….what we need you to do is speak to your parent/carer… and ask if they would be happy for you to reduce the length of time when you heating is ‘on’ by 10 minutes or 20 minutes.

Imagine..10 minutes saved, every day for a week… and if 100 children all do that… we would have saved the energy needed to heat your homes for 7,000 minutes!!

When you have accomplished this mission please can you send us a random photo of your heating controls (or the carpet) – it doesn’t matter what it is – but we can then add up all the minutes of heating saved, and thereby the carbon emissions saved.
