Wait, what is Climate Change?
Climate change (sometimes called global warming or global heating), is the process of our planet heating up. It is being caused by the burning of fossil fuels, and other activities that release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
Climate change is and will increasingly, make many animals and humans lives more difficult - especially the poorest people who have done the least to cause climate change.
Weather will become more extreme and unpredictable because of climate change. We are already seeing increasing storms, floods, droughts and wild fires. Sea ice is shrinking, seas are warming and sea levels are rising.
The earth has warmed nearly 1.5º in the last 100 years. We need to take action.
Climate Change is caused by carbon emissions - for example by burning fossil fuels - like oil, coal, and gas.
